One step for civil defense: A workshop on readiness for everyday people (July 16, 2pm in Taipei)
Planning for geopolitical uncertainty
About this event
This mini-workshop draws together experience from practitioners on first response in major disasters in Taiwan, aiming to provide actionable insight for those who would like to protect themselves and their families in the event of an escalated regional conflict. The first part of the workshop will be an introductory guide to existing resources, and the second an interactive drill that helps participants to think ahead on communication (resilience, infosec) and bug-out plan for a contingency.
T. H. Schee is a digital veteran with twenty years of experience in the private and NGO sectors. He was a founding member of the Taiwan Internet Governance Forum and provided his expertise on digital crisis response to the UN Global Geospatial Information Management group. He has served as an adviser to government agencies and the City of Taipei (2016–18). He currently dedicates his spare time on developing civil defense capabilities and knowledge for the citizens.
